The Universities industry has grown moderately over the past five years. The Annual Maximum Fee Movement (AMFM) figure put in place each year by the New Zealand government for tertiary education institutions has limited growth over the period. Prior to 2016, the AMFM was capped at 4.0%, meaning that universities could increase their course fees by up to 4.0% each year.
