    Three active uranium mines operate in Australia. In 2018-19, only two of these mines are extracting uranium. The industry's two operational mines, Olympic Dam and Four Mile, are both located in South Australia. The other mine, Energy Resources of Australia's Ranger mine in the Northern Territory, is currently only processing stockpiled uranium. Other uranium mines are currently under construction, but have not yet begun production. Additionally, the Honeymoon mine in South Australia has been placed under maintenance after only extracting small amounts of uranium in 2012-13 and 2013-14.
