Steel Products:

Mineral Resources & Energy:

  • Operations in this unit involves direct investment in mines and exploration companies that are located in Queensland and New South Wales. Also, this unit trades in mineral resources which includes iron-ore, coal, copper and gold.

Food & Agricultural Products:

  • Operations include growing, marketing and exporting grain; supplying frozen dough products to in-store bakeries and quick service restaurants in Austalia and Asia (through Suprima Bakeries Pty Ltd) and the production and supply of processed fruit and vegetables for juices. Also, this unit trades in other primary commodities including, dairy, acqua, sugar, rice, vegetable oils and oilseeds.

Materials & Supplies:

  • Carbon & Chemicals: importing, exporting and supply of a range of carbon and chemicals products including organic chemicals, inorganic chemicals, cosmentic chemicals, petroleum refinery products, sulphuric acid, industrial carbon products, and coal chemical products as well as the development of petroleum energy based infrastructure.
  • Fertilser: Import, custom blending and distrubtion of fertilizer.
  • Forestry Investment & Operation: Production, sale and exporting of timber products.
  • Fleet Leasing: operations include vehicle leasing (Finance or Operating), novated leasing, fleet management, sale & lease back, fuel management, Summit Connect™ (Telematics), personal account management and driver support.
  • Machinery Products: this unit involves: infrastructure and industrial machinery importation as well as management of infrastructure investments; the distribution of vacuum circuit breakers; the importation and distribution of a number of transport equipment parts and accessories such as rubber brushes, airsprings and wheels; the supply of renewable energy and emissions trading related equipment such as wind turbines and carbon credit equipment. Sumitomo Australia also distributes the Mitsubishi Regional Jet.
