Energy Infrastructure

APA owns or partly owns numerous natural gas pipelines across Australia. The company is Australia's largest provider of natural gas, servicing industrial, commercial and power generation customers. Currently, APA has an interest in over 15,000 km of pipelines and 25,000 km of distribution networks. It operates two gas storage facilities in Western Australia and Victoria. 

APA also owns and operates the Emu Downs wind farm in Western Australia, and is currently constructing, through a joint venture, the Diamantina gas-fired power station in Queensland.

 

Energy Investments

APA's energy investments, which consist of coal seam gas processing plants, gas fired power stations, electricity transmission systems and wind farms, include the following company interests:

  • SEA Gas Pipeline (50%)
  • Energy Infrastructure Investments (19.9%)
  • Ethane Pipeline Income Fund (6%)
  • Energy Infrastructure Investments 2 (20.2%)
  • GDI (EII) Pty Ltd (20%)

 

Asset management

The group's asset management segment is involved in the provision of operating and management services to Envestra, the Ethane Pipeline Income Fund and Energy Infrastructure Investments and the Allgas Gas Network.
