Overview

Ku-ring-gai Council is the local government body responsible for setting the vision and strategic direction for the Ku-ring-gai region. The Ku-ring-gai local government area covers approximately 84 sq kms, and contains nine suburbs with a population of over 122,000. The Ku-ring-gai region is part of the eastern rim of the Cumberland Basin. Ku-ring-gai Council is divided into five wards - Comenarra, Gordon, Roseville, St Ives, Wahroonga - with two councillors being elected to represent each ward. Elections are held every four years. The Ku-ring-gai Council has approximately 410 employees, and the council offices are in Gordon, New South Wales.
