Urban Renewal Authority Victoria, trading as Places Victoria, is a state government-owned authority that derives revenue from the development of surplus government land and is responsible for carrying out urban renewal projects. Places Victoria employs approximately 100 people and is headquartered in Docklands, Melbourne.

Places Victoria provides large-scale renewals to improve the amenity for residential and mixed-use purposes for areas in Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Places Victoria divides its operations into the following categories:

  • Precincts - Delivers large, multi-staged, urban renewal projects such as the revitalising of central Dandenong.
  • Development & Construction - Responsible for managing the delivery of medium and high-density developments.
  • Land Development & Housing - Responsible for the delivery and facilitation of projects in Melbourne and regional Victorian locations.
