The Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts (DSITIA) is a government department that derives its funding from the provision of information, communication and technology infrastructure and information brokerage services. DSITIA employ approximately 2,570 staff and is administered from its head office in Brisbane, Queensland.

The Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts is a government department that provides scientific, technologic and innovation solutions to the state of Queensland's government and communities. The department is separated into six divisions:

  • Science Division - Providing scientific information, policy, advice and infrastructure grants for planning and management processes across the environment and natural resources spectrum. 
  • Digital Productivity and Services Division - Providing collaborative projects and events to support the community in adopting broadband-enabled technologies and services to increase productivity and competitiveness.
  • Strategic Policy and Innovation Division - Providing customer and market analysis, as well as driving consist connections across the departments from a policy perspective and collaborating with government agencies on policy issues. 
  • Strategy and ICT Division - Provides support, deliver, guide and advise on all government information and communication technology initiatives.
  • Queensland Shared Services Division - Provides finance, procurement, human resources management, telecommunications and mail support services to Queensland Government agencies and statutory authorities.
  • Grange and Operations Division - Providing corporate services support to other government departments.
