QGC Upstream Investments Pty Ltd (previously known as BG International (AUS) Investments Pty Ltd) is a foreign owned private company, deriving revenue from the exploration, development and production of coal seam gas in the Surat Basin and Bowen Basin areas. The company employs approximately 890 people, operates in Queensland, and is administered from its head office in Brisbane. 

QGC’s ultimate parent is the Royal Dutch Shell plc, a British-Dutch based energy resources company.

QGC Upstream Investments Pty Limited (previously known as BG International (Aus) Pty Ltd), trading as QGC, conducts the exploration, development, and production of coal seam gas in the Bowen and Cooper Basins in southern Queensland. The company's operations that feature 24 field compression stations, six central processing plants, two water treatment plants, and a two-train LNG export facility, developed as part of the company's Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project.

QGC also operates the Charlie project located in the Surat Basin, a $1.7 billion, on-going, coal seam gas development project.
