Sims Metal Management's activities are separated into the following divisions:

  • Ferrous secondary recycling - involves the purchasing, collection, processing and resale of iron and steel secondary raw material.
  • Non-ferrous secondary recycling -  involves the sourcing, collection, processing and resale of other metal alloys and residues such as aluminium, copper, zinc and lead.
  • Recycling solutions -  involves environmentally responsible recycling and disposal of electronic and electrical equipment and IT asset management and recovery solutions for commercial customers.
  • Secondary processing and other services -   includes value-added processes involved in the melting, refining and ingoting of non-ferrous metals.
