The Retirement Benefits Fund, trading as RBF, provides superannuation and financial planning services to Tasmanian public sector employees. It has approximately 75,000 members and manages over $5.3 billion in funds. RBF employs over 90 staff through its Hobart and Launceston offices and is headquartered in Hobart, Tasmania.

The Retirement Benefits Fund provides superannuation and financial planning services to Tasmanian public sector employees. It provides its members with six investment options:

  • RBF MyPath: Launched in 2014, this investment option is the default option for members with an RBF Investment Account. MyPath aims to adjust its investment strategy as members go through different life stages.
  • RBF Balanced: A diversified investment option that aims to provides a return of 4 percentage points above the CPI. The fund defines it as medium to high risk.
  • RBF Growth: An investment option that aims to achieve a high level of capital growth over the long term, 5 percentage points above the CPI. The fund defines it as high risk.
  • RBF Socially Responsible Investments: Aiming to provide similar returns as the RBF Balanced option while meeting members' ethical investment criteria. The fund defines it as high risk.
  • RBF Moderate: Diversified investment option that aims to provide a return of 3 percentage points above the CPI. The fund defines it as a medium risk option.
  • RBF Conservative: A capital-stable investment option, defined as medium to low risk. This investment option invests heavily in cash and fixed interest assets and aims to provide a return of 2 percentage poitns above the CPI.

The company also provides financial planning services through its wholly owned subsidiary RBF Financial Planning Pty Ltd.
