The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is the New Zealand government body responsible for the operation of the country's central bank. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand employs 240 full-time equivalent staff across its operations and is headquartered in Wellington. 

RBNZ is wholly-owned by the New Zealand Government, and its finances are included in the Crown accounts. 

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is responsible for the operation of the country's central bank. The bank operates monetary policies, monitors and supervises the health of the financial system, maintains foreign reserves, issues currencies, and operates in the financial markets if necessary.
