The Public Sector Superannuation Scheme (PSS) is an Australian government-owned trust which generates its income from the provision of superannuation products and services to employees of the Australian Government and participating employers.

PSS is managed by the Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation and is administered from its head office in Canberra, ACT.


The Public Sector Superannuation Scheme, trading as Public Sector Super, is a superannuation fund established specifically for employees of the Australian Government and participating employers. The fund offers its members the following investment options:

  • Cash: A low-risk investment option that invests all funds in cash assets. 
  • Default Fund: A higher risk fund designed to outperform the CPI by 3.5% per annum over 10 years. The fund divides its assets into the following investment classes: Cash, Fixed Interest, Equities, Property, Infrastructure and Other.
