Overview

Water NSW is a New South Wales state-owned body responsible for supplying raw water to NSW. The corporation employs approximately 530 people and is administered from its head office in Dubbo, NSW.

Water NSW was formed in January 2015 by bringing together the Sydney Catchment Authority and State Water.

 

 

Water NSW manages bulk water delivery to customers in rural and regional New South Wales, on behalf of the State Government. Water NSW delivers water from 42 large dams, pipelines, canals and the state's rivers.

Water NSW undertakes the following projects:

  • Dam safety upgrades
  • Environmental projects
  • Water efficiency projects
  • NSW metering scheme
  • Asset improvement projects
  • Lachlan water security investigation
  • Broken Hill and Menindee short term water project
