The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) is a government-owned Australian tertiary education institution based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. The university generates its revenue from the provision of higher education programs, employs approximately 910 full-time equivalent staff and its main campus is in Sippy Downs, Queensland.  

The University of the Sunshine Coast offers undergraduate, diploma and post graduate courses. USC divides its operations into the following educational divisions:

  • Faculty of Arts, Business and Law: includes School of Business, School of Communication and Creative Industries, School of Sciences and USC Law School.
     
  • Faculty Research: engages in research for various academic fields and disciplines.
     
  • Faculty of Science, Health, Education and Engineering: comprises of School of Education, School of Health and Sport Sciences, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedicine and School of Science and Engineering.
     

USC also operates a number of research centres and facilities including:

  • GeneCology Research Centre
  • Forest Industries Research Centre
  • Innovation Centre Sunshine Coast
