The New Zealand Racing Board (NZRB) is a New Zealand government body that generates the majority of its revenue through the Totalisator Agency Board (TAB) which is a provider of betting services for sports and racing. The board employs 870 staff and is responsible for over 670 TAB outlets throughout New Zealand. NZRB is headquartered in Petone, New Zealand.

The New Zealand Racing Board is headquartered in Petone which is approximately 15km north of Wellington, and it also has other offices across New Zealand. NZRB was established under the 2003 Racing Act and its primary role is the management of New Zealand’s TAB outlets. TAB is the country’s official sports and race betting provider. The organisation divides its operations into two key business divisions:

  • Gaming Operations
  • Betting Operations

NZRB also broadcasts racing and industry news on TV channels Trackside 1 and Trackside 2 and radio station Radio Trackside.
