New Zealand Lotteries Commission (Lotto New Zealand) is an authorised gaming provider in New Zealand. The commission is a Crown Entity operating under the Gambling Act 2003. NZ Lotteries is administered from its head office in Auckland and employs approximately 120 full time equivalent staff.

New Zealand Lotteries Commission derives the majority of its revenue from operating lottery games domestically. It has a retail network spread across New Zealand that offers the following games to the public: 

  • Lotto and Powerball: 6 Lotto numbers, 1 bonus and 1 Powerball are drawn every Saturday, and compared to numbers selected by customers.
  • Keno: A numbers game drawn four times a day and the customer can play short and/or long odds.
  • Bullseye: The customer selects a number between 0 and 999,999,999, the closest number to the number drawn, wins.
  • Play 3: Daily game, where the customer chooses a three digit number and must match the number drawn by Lotto NZ to win.
  • Instant Kiwi: A scratch game, able of instant win lottery ticket. 
  • 2nd Chance: Allows customers a 2nd chance to play using their non-winning Instant Kiwi ticket.
