Historically, the biggest factor influencing the Pesticide Manufacturing industry was the level of agricultural output and income. Over the past five years, however, industry revenue has been mostly affected by extreme weather conditions, with both widespread drought and flooding.
During 2010-11, excessive rainfall and flooding in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia and Tasmania dampened industry growth. Since then, weather conditions have stabilised and are expected to be relatively normal over 2012-13.
