Namoi Cotton is a fully integrated ginning, marketing, warehousing and shipping organisation. It divides its cotton operations into two major divisions; ginning and marketing.
Ginning - the ginning service includes the separation of lint cotton from the seed and removal of other foreign matter, and the conversion of cotton in module form to bale form. Grower customers may elect to sell or retain their cotton seed by-product. Namoi Cotton operates 13 cotton ginning facilities.
The ginning facilities are located throughout key cotton growing areas in New South Wales and Southern Queensland.
Marketing - involves the purchase of lint cotton from Australian growers. The cotton is purchased ex-gin in bale form and transported to one of Namoi Cotton's three regional warehouses. Namoi Cotton then transports the cotton to a buyer, with approximately 99% of sales to Asia.
