The IBISWorld Risk Rating service measures the difficulty of the operating conditions for companies within each of the 500 industries of Australia. While many risk rating models determine risk by using historical information, IBISWorld's Industry Risk Rating is forward looking, and determines the level of risk an industry will face over the coming 12-18 months.
In determining an industry's risk rating, we look at three different types of risk inherent to the industry: an industry's Structural Risk, its Growth Risk, and its Sensitivity Risk.
There is a high level of strategic analysis behind each score and the components that make up the score. This is examined within 15-20 pages of strategic research and forecasting that provide the analysis behind the numbers.
